Sauat Mynbayev, Chairman of the Board of KazMunaiGas stated that the Memorandum, signed in Astana, would further firm the bilateral mutually beneficial relations between Kazakhstan and China.

“Diversification of transit and export routes for transportation of Kazakhstani gas, as well as increase in export volumes of blue fuel are important strategic tasks set by the Head of State. Arrangements for gas supply to China were preceded by complex work on creating the export-oriented transportation system: completion of the construction of the main pipeline Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent, launch of the third line of the main pipeline Kazakhstan-China, and construction of high-tech gas compressor stations “Bozoy”, “Karaozek” and a boosting compressor station “Akyrtobe”, – noted Kairat Sharipbayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KazTransGas JSC.

As discussed at the meeting, gas supplies to China will contribute to bilateral mutually beneficial relations, and joint promotion of cooperation relations as part of the “One belt, one road” initiative, aimed at creating infrastructure and firming trade and transport ties between Eurasian countries.
